The Cascade Regional programs are designed for the
shifterkart and TAG racers who want to travel the region testing
their skills against the more experienced racers. The competition
level is generally a step up from the local club race
scene. Not to say that you have to have years of experience or
be a shoe to compete, but these series do draw
the real players. With that in mind, we have designed a series
program for 06 with some new things in store. The Cascade
Regional schedule is a 7 race series with your best 6 results
counting towards the Championship. Each event will be two days
with Friday practice optional. Saturday will consist of practice
and qualifying with Sunday featuring heat #1, heat #2 and the
Features. There will be much emphasis put on Fun, lots of tracktime,
Fun, great competition, Fun, professionalism, Fun, and TECH. The
marque event of this season will the '06 running of the Cascade
Locks Kart Grand Prix the last week in August. The Series will
also make it's first trip to Canada the first weekend in August.
*All classes will be run per the '06 PARC rule book. Make note
that all classes will be required to run airboxes at all regional
events. (See '06 PARC Rule Book).
Chris and Lisa Egger are in charge of the Series
and welcome any and all suggestions and complaints (constructive
ones anyway). Contact Chris at 503.519-4392 or by email. Other
additional info can be found by going to www.patsacres.com and
clicking in the upper righthand corner to get to the CACADE REGIONAL
pages. Please sign up on the e-mail list found on the home page
to be sure to receive additional info and updates throughout the
season (this is our primary means of communication). You will
find race schedules, hotel info, rules updates, points, and Eventlab
results. We are excited about how the 06 season is shaping
up and are looking forward to a great year of growth and competition.
We hope you are too. See ya at the track
Chris
